So now tonight’s adventure.
Drove to a buddies house to work on that black c30. After we were done messing with it I decided to head home. I was showing off cause my truck runs, and got on it a little bit while leaving. Well the truck sputtered and died. We all laughed then I tried to start it. Just cranked but wouldn’t fire. A little gas down the carb would make it fire, but not run. So we went and got a gallon of gas to throw in. Still wouldn’t start. Got another gallon, and it fired up. Went to the gas station and I couldn’t even get another full gallon into the tank. The gas was just sitting in the neck. Truck drove fine home, but was it really out of gas or not?

Keep in mind, with a full 20 gallon tank I’ve gone 90 miles this week so far.

It has been hot as balls lately. It was probably just opening the cap that let it run
I had the same thought last night. That would explain the full tank still. But did my truck really get 20mpg?!

But the bezel is still tilted to match the previous headlight position.

So I am currently sitting on the side of the road while my truck cools down. I am having vapor lock issues. I found this heater hose laying across my fuel line, which is not helping the issue. Other than that what else can I do to help the fuel temp?

Also looks like that hard line going into the carb has a slight link in it.
Maybe run a new line, and reroute it away from the exhaust some.
