I bet they put them on 454’s first. I haven’t had any 1996 or 1997 454’s. All of the 1996-1997 350’s that I have had don’t have them but the 1998 and new ones do.
Alrighty, brand new CU730 radiator I’ve had stashed away, appropriate big block shroud and lid, high volume water pump, high flow thermostat and 9 blade fan. If this doesn’t keep this p.o.s. Gen V cooled, I guess she’s only getting driven to the bar and back lol.
I've been meaning to read this whole thread for a while and finally finished, I LOVE this truck. @tarussell and I were just talking about how nice it would be to have a truck very similar to this build to just drive every day, don't beat it - don't go overboard with it - just drive it.

That’s exactly my plan too, just drive it. Just working on the final comfort and looks stuff. A/C, proper bench seat, rear bumper and eventually repaint the front clip

They are a life saver, but they only work when the humidity is near zero. Here in the desert, that’s 90% of the time.
Oh that sucks, the humidity here stays around 80%+.

How do you like the coverking sun shade? I need a better fitting shade.
They fit well. I have one for each of my different rides. My oldest one I bought for my dually back in 2012 or so, it’s still holding up pretty good. The dually window is HUGE and it’s starting to get Less stiff and sag in the middle. But it’s ten years old.
I’m a big fan of the weathertech black out shades but they don’t make them for the squarebody last time I looked.
Hmm, I have the sweet weathertech floor mats in my dually. I haven’t heard of the blackout shades. Have to look em up

Put the original tailgate back on. I had robbed it when I built the K5. Figured I should put the perfect one back on her and the crappier one on the K5. Can’t really see it with the spare tire blocking it anyway.
