Finally got a warmer night in the shop, got the pedals in, was as frustrating as I remember… got the wrong slave cylinder, going to see if oreilley has the right one. Was there different slaves for the 465 or did I somehow end up with the wrong one? Ordered one for an 85 k10 I think, but im not sure exactly what year my trans came from. The slave I received has the studs close to an inch too far apart for the bolt holes in the bellhousing. If I remember right it almost looks like the one off my old nv3500… anyways Ill find one
Since I’ve swaped to a carb ive gotten rid of a bit of wiring under the hood, id love to get rid of all the useless crap from under the dash too, anyone know off the top what these 2 parts are that were mounted to the pedal assembly
Id like to get rid of any unnecessary stuff to make it easier to work on. Theres also an aftermarket key fob cluster under the dash that needs to go. At this point it might be easier to just gut the dash and rewire the wipers, lights, and ignition switch and call it there but that’s not very inviting to me, id rather pull the trans 5 more times than work under the dash…
With any luck I might be driving it tomorrow…… probably not at my rate of progress
