“Dylan’s” 89. Back at it!

89 Jimmy 6.0/4l80e/MAGNUM 205/d60/14bolt
That orange rtv..... Looking good, making alot of progress in a short time.

I thought I was the only one that just loves the look of that stuff! Haha might be a little much but I know I won't have any leaks!

Yeah I'm trying to get the chassis stuff done cause I think once I get to the motor I'll get slowed way down. Got a lot of parts to buy, figuring out the wiring is going to be a pain and just getting it all running in general will be a challenge. That's new territory for me.

Daily report:

Hung some brake lines

14bolt is mocked in place

Started putting the steering box on but I think one hole is trying to strip out. Better wait until I have an extra set of hands.

And.......Racecar!

Guess it's hard to see in that last pic but chevy orange and red rtv match up pretty good. I wasn't sure about the orange calipers but I am sold now. Other than than, bolt-in steering brace is in (haven't gotten a pic yet). Brake lines are ran just need to finish securing them all. Should be a roller soon!

Anyone know what sensor this is? Motor is 2002-2003 lq4. I think it is the crankshaft position sensor, but I'm wondering it is the engine oil temp sensor. I think this bc where my alldata info says my oil temp sensor is, there is nothing.

Started tearing into the 6.0. Man this thing is nasty! I bought it with the plan of rebuilding it anyway so not too worried. Hoping I can get by with a good cleaning and no, or very little machine work.

Does anyone know of anywhere that does the LS harness modifications and engine tuning? I'm trying to plan out what all I actually want to do to this motor (stock rebuild vs cam).

Today marks a big milestone. I finally finished rebuilding the front end (minus new hubs). Not a big deal, but when you consider I took it apart 6 or 7 years ago, then it's a pretty big deal! Haha.

So that buttons up the frame, suspension and brakes. Still need shocks, but I'm saving that for last. Also I got new locking hubs and SYE kit in the mail! :saweet:

Quite a difference...

Hopefully thats all it is, had one eat a lifter one time and mushroom the end of the lifter. Had to cut the cam in pieces and slide the lifter out the bottom. On the bright side its still running to this day.

Just going through old pictures and thought I'd put them up. Couple shots of some before and after ospho treatment, I'm a fan. And just other random stuff that's been done.
