NC 1 ton axles

Looks like the listing is gone. I always wanted 1 tons from the moment I bought this truck. I have a lot more confidence with the trails I run with them. I went from 33’s to 35’s and now I’m running 37’s and in the middle of re-gearing to 5.13 with air lockers front and back. It’s a lot of money and I’ll never get my money back but as I said, I have a lot more confidence in the truck.

You can do a lot with 1/2 axles, but you need to know their limitations, how to drive and not hit that limit. I ran 1/2 ton axles, lunchbox lockers front and rear, chromoly axle shafts and ran 33’s forever with no issues. I was still always concerned as to their limits, but never met it. I carried stock spare axles, just in case.

I've had 33's on all my 1/2 tons, even my 2wd burb.
The tubes on a 10b are a weak point that's hard toughen up

@Big Ray if nothing else, at least go 3/4 ton with a FF and find a 60 if/when funds allow down the road and you feel you need it. Dont recall if you already have a 14FF on hand or not. Def need that for a heavy burb and big block and some skinny pedal (i know you already know all that)

Just did some shopping, they're still up. Should get the check today or tomorrow, think I'll go get them.

No sir.
Found a better set.
I posted it in another thread, that's why the bold and italics...
Sounds like a soap opera lol

I found another pair of 1 ton axles, but wound up getting locked out off farcebook.

A young "man" slapped the change out of an old mans hand, and kicked him in the ass when he went to pick it up.
I referred to this "individual" as a "punk ass bitch'.
Apparently farcebook approved of this kind of behavior.
I really could care less, but I was in the middle of contacting this man about the axles!
I'm my own worse enemy in this libtard world!!!

Anyways, they're a d60/14bolt combo.
They've been blasted and painted with POR-15 and setup with 4.88 gears, locked rear open front.
Really stoked. Used my Brides account to contact him, we're trying to set up a trip for Sat.

Finally going to join the big boy club lol!!!

It come with brakes and the front hubs? Nice that the rear brakes are off already, those drums are heavyy

It's missing a front hub. As always, The Good Lord and Mr. Ruger will be with me.
In The Lords caliber no less.

Doesn’t really matter but just for your general knowledge the rear R/P is not a “GM” OEM gear set - that’s an aftermarket set.
GM never offered a 4.88:1 gear but the aftermarket did - the markings on that ring gear are a description sort of indeifier markings instead of a manufacture marker.

Like I said this may not matter at all but just wanted to put it out there if it mattered to you.
It would not stop me from buying the axle at all.

It's listed as Richmond Gears. I talked with the owner a good while. He bought them for a Suburban project. Lost interest like many do.
Now he has a Scout he's building. D44's all around.
But thanks for the catch, I'm glad y'all are watching out for me. Truly.
