Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

O yeah and they said they would only charge him 150 to install it how nice are they. /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Who in the world is buying that and why aren't you talking some sense into him? /forums/images/graemlins/screwy.gif

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Its actually for the rear and he has a 95 and I know that the 10 bolts changed in 88 but not up to 1200 bucks I cant believe this BOZO!! and the guy buying into it WILL NOT LISTEN!

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Here's what you do, find one yourself for $200, then sell it to him for $500, you both win. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

we saw a 88+ IFS rig at a local shop getting the rear fixed. he paid the same for his. he even bought a new gov loc for it,LMAO!!!!!

A friend of mine needed a 10 bolt with 3.42's for a 97 Z71 and a local junk yard around here had one for $1500.00 /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif Needless to say, he is still runnin' around with a noisy, sloppy axle.

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Im still in shock and i hope he will listen

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

I just don't understand why people pay prices like that when they can upgrade too something much stronger for less money. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

I doubt he will find one much cheaper. My friend was quoted $1350 to rebuild his and put in an Eaton limited slip, maybe that could be an option? At least then everything would be new.

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

The way I see it, for that money, ya could easily upgrade to 3/4 ton axles, buy 8 lug rims, and have money left over. But thats my view, some people want factory original equipment for some strang reson.

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Woah! That is a rip off. /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

You know I was thinking I could sell him my axles for 1200 and I would install them on his for free. HEY THATS A GREAT IDEA LMAO!!! /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif For 1200 I could get a full 1 ton setup if I look hard enough..

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Its his money and $1200 for a complete axle isnt unheard of. They are useless to us because we run large tires but for the average driver its ok. I guess since you've given him the whole story its up to him to make his own decision.

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

unfortunately, the guy is a total dumbass!!! he doesn't even really know what's wrong with it, just that it no worky. so he's taking the word of some shop in a military town trying to make a killing of the local military population. spence and i gave him so many options it's not even funny, but he won't listen. i'd almost be willing to be he'll end up paying the 1200+! /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Re: $1200 for a 10 bolt w/3.73\'s

Can you install your axles, front and rear, on my IFS rig for $1200? That would be a good deal for me.
