14 bolt rear end

hey pauly 383 what do u mean a conversion u-joint??
The 14bff uses a 1350 u-joint. Your stock k-5 driveshaft will use a 1310 u-joint. A conversion u-joint has two 1310 caps and two 1350 caps. So by installing a conversion u-joint you can re-use your k-5 driveshaft and it will hook up to the 14bff's yoke

napa part# 348.

Swapping in 14bff for 12 bolt / 76 k5

I may have missed it, but what axle is in your Blazer? My '88 Burban took the #447 conversion joint, it had a 10 bolt.

Earlier Blazers used a 1310 rear u-joint, later ones used a Saginaw S44/3R. I don't remember what year they changed, but you can tell the difference by looking at the retainer clips. Spicer joint caps are retained with clips on the outside, while Saginaws will usually have no clips from the factory (they ise an injected plastic to retain them) and inner "C" clips when replaced with aftermarket u-joints.

not to hi jack to far but seeing how we are talking about 14ff I thought that I would present a question about the cost of a complete solid rebuild with disc's and and an arb locker. I just bought a 14ff for $50. Just what would be the cost to rebuild it?
