Not too far, do you know where New Braunfels is? About 20 miles north of there.
I don't actually have a K5, I do have a 85 K20 Im doing a frame off on but im afraid I wont be doing any extreme wheelin with it.Cool, no the best wheelin spot around here I knew of was a place called devils den in san antone but it got fenced up because people were dumping bodies thereI don't actually have a K5, I do have a 85 K20 Im doing a frame off on but im afraid I wont be doing any extreme wheelin with it.

Do you need a additive for the gov loc?
there arent any clutches.
There are several clutch plates in a 10.5" g80...no special sauce neede with a gov bomb. there arent any clutches. the additive would be for a clutch type diff.
look at this one. its what i, and my brother have. mine is about 6 years old. no problems. he has a macine shop make themjust for him, and aparently that keeps the price low.

its not a limited slip. its a locker. it does have clutches, but they are not used to attempt to keep the axleshafts at the same speed like a trak-loc or power-lock.
they are used to engage the locking mechanism, and thats it. they dont need special sauce because the dont do the actual "locking" part
so yes there are clutches. and no they dont need special lube
