17" DOT approved Hutchinson double bead lock wheels

7" backspace .

and spacers are fine . guys have been running them for years. my self included.

you need to resurch the hummer rim b/s info more and see just how easy it is to fit them

Thanks for the info on backspacing! 7" is a lot!! Well, I ran spacers in the rear on mine til I got the van width axle to replace the spacer setup.

Let´s just say I might run the spacers again, but then I´d still have to know what the inside diameter of the 17" H1 wheel is. Not sure if it clears my brakes. 16.5" is the absolute min inside diameter I can run!

Nice to see that you are funny guys... however I´m serious about it and would really appreciate people replying when they are serious, not joking!

The entire premise of this question is rediculous.

You bought "big brakes" that created a wheel fitment nightmare. Time to suck it up and spend even MORE money to work around the issue... You obviously aren't willing to think creatively about the components in your build and alternative ways to get the performance you want, and that sort of myopia will be expensive.

Where you completely fail is by assuming that there are other people (either on Pirate4x4 or CK5) who are equally stubborn. The brotherhood here isn't particularly interested in helping you get a discount on your mega-dollar wheels. That should be obvious by now...

The only way you are getting those wheels on your truck is by paying the full asking price from Hutchinson. "'Might As Well" just make your peace with that now. :deal:

It is not just an issue with my truck. All the new super Duty fords require a min of 18" when choosing an alloy wheel. Only steel works in 17". I´m sure dodge and Chevy will be at the same point sometime. so all late model trucks need wheels to fit brakes this big. Sure people with older trucks might not be interested, but later model truck owners might be soon as brakes get larger and larger every model...

and of course I was thinking creatively by choosing the larges OEM brakes I could mount to the D60 and 14 bolt FF.

If I had the money I´d buy 25 myself to get them, but I don´t have that kind of cash to spend.... therefore I need people to chip in! I don´t need the whole board to chip in, just 4 people that are interested..... nothing more and nothing less....

If you are so against all of this, why do you keep reading and commenting on it then??? sure, most members here think it is crazy, which is fine with me (heard that numerous times before on other stuff on my truck)... I just want the people that don´t think it´s so crazy to reply....

Everyone can have their opinion... I don´t mind... but I´m asking: who´s interested!

I´m NOT asking for all the 10000 people to answer that are not interested!

Let me put it more simply:

First: "The Garage" is a discussion forum here on CK5. If you don't want opinions, don't post here. We are not obliged to sit quietly just because you ask us to....

Second: This is starting to sound a lot like a solicitation for Hutchinson customers rather than a general discussion thread. We have a For Sale area, and a Parts Wanted area specificially for that purpose. If you're trying to set up a "group buy" for wheels, use the correct forum.

The big brakes on my truck requires a minimum 19.5" rim. So for that fact, I'm out.

I had 37s on 20" rims for a couple years before. I'm not sure why you find that to be a problem.

Did I miss the other discussion? Why dont you just run stauns and run a regular 17in or whatever wheel fits?

Or get rid of the stupid big rotors and calipers, use something a bit more practical.

There are guys fitting 14" rotors with calipers inside a 17" wheel all day long and have better braking than you will have. Probably cheaper than the ridiculous wheel deal your trying for now too.

FYI bead lock wheels aren't specifically illegal, they also aren't specifically legal either. I would play in that grey area if it were me. I have thousands of miles perhaps tens of thousands of miles on trail ready bead locks with ZERO bead lock failures. There is a wheel shell at ORD right now that has the trail ready bead lock ring 100% in tact plus 2" of the wheel shell attached to it, The rest of the wheel is gone. it took cartwheeling through the desert 5 or six times to break that wheel.

Bead locks are goddamn tough and safe.

I can admire you for trying to get something better but honestly Hutchinson isn't a big player in the off road wheel market and probably never will be because their system is over the top and sort of unreachable for the average guy.

The new superduty fords do not require an 18" wheel. who ever told you that or whoevers ass you pulled that info out of is wrong. We have a 2012 shop truck that is a ford F350 and we're running 17's on it every day.

Because you keep bringing back up an old topic that is going nowhere.

I´m NOT asking for all the 10000 people to answer that are not interested!

Then keep it in PM's or in the parts wanted section. Here I will link it for you. http://coloradok5.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28 Please put it in there.

Also man it's a public forum you will get alot of people to read this. and yes your best bet at this point is to find a H1 pull the cash out of your ass for it and use the wheels off of it.

Greg72 summed it all up. I could have said stuff along the lines he did but it was better coming from a Moderator.

I also feel the OP is sort of twisting our arms in order to get his rims "cheaper". I don't care if he wants them but does he need them? Probably not. I know I don't and I certainly don't want to shell out that kind of coin either.

I also feel like this topic, being on its 2nd go-round, is being shoved down our throats. I see enough of that from Jehovah's Witnesses running around and other religious fanatics. The 1st time this wheel was brought up was enough and it clearly showed that the subject was defeated. Why bring it up again? I don't want to see anymore threads about wheels from this dude especially when they cost something that only little Justin Bieber can afford.

Yes, 14" rotors fit, but my rotors are 14.54" and that makes them too big. And changing it back is no option because the front axle is a modified F550 axle, so therefore this is what bolts on. The rear is not the problem with the 13.88" rotors.

I know, in the states I wouldn´t mind running regular bead locks. Nobody checks that when you get the vehicle inspected. BUT sinde the truck might end up in Germany and they check every bolt on it everytime you get it inspected, I couldn´t even put it on the road if the wheels didn´t have a t least a DOT approval. On top of that I´d still have to get an extra TÜV apprval done to even be able to run the wheels on the street. Laws are way different overseas! And I have to take that into consideration while I´m building this thing! (that is why big OEM brakes instead of some wilwood or bear big brake kit, easier to get an approval in GErmany because at least they have a DOT approval)

I can admire you for trying to get something better but honestly Hutchinson isn't a big player in the off road wheel market and probably never will be because their system is over the top and sort of unreachable for the average guy.

If they had a wheel that would fit I´d just buy that, but they don´t. The militarry ones are way too heavy and the ormal 17" ones are too small. Not sure if it is true, but a guy selling H1 17" hutchinson wheels on ebay said they are only 16" inside diameter. So also too small...

So maybe I have to try an expedition forum since this here isn´t really that helpful! Sure I can understand not everyone has the cash to spend that much on wheels... That is perfectly fine. But there must be some people around with money that wouldn´t mind spending it.... If they spend 200K on an expedition truck, they should be ok with 5K for wheels....

if you don´t care about the topic, how come you come back every second day, reading through it and commenting??? If I´m not interested in something I just don´t read it and let the people read it that want to!

He isn't forcing you to read it. He is just throwing out a feeler to see if he can find someone else interested. Leave him alone......

Sir, yes sir! :surepal:

If you are so concerned about him wasting precious band width, why do you keep posting in here and wasting more???

In reference to your comment regarding driving it in Germany, you better talk to some people before you go shipping this over there. My wife's family lives there and I remember them saying I would never be able to drive my m1009 legally on the streets there, and it only has a 4"lift and 37s
