1948 panel wheeler. The end of an error.

Collecting parts with no real plan for the end. I just know I'm not cool without an LS swap and tons.
I don't think that would work. I've been doing recall repairs on the L83 trucks for loss of vacuum and subsequent loss of braking assist. Main repair is reprogramming the abs module allowing more braking assist coming from the abs system in low vacuum situations. Some still lack assist after the reprogramming so the vacuum pump ends up getting replaced under a special coverage warranty extension.

The 10 speed is a bad ass trans. It's first use was in the ZL1 Camaro for Chevy and the Raptor pickup for Ford. In the trucks, it always seems like it's in the right gear. Having the deep low gears in it is a big reason why they don't put really deep gears in the axles anymore. 3.42's as deep as they run. I'd still run a deeper gear with bigger tires, but the tall OD gears help make up for any axle ratio and tire size you plan on running.
Yeah on a stock truck is still running DOD you need the vacuum pump for brakes. If you’re not running DOD the engine makes plenty of vacuum.

That was the other style I was looking at. Not sure if it will run everything.
The type 2 pump will run Hydro boost and Hydro assist, but Performance at idle is lackluster. A PSC pump made it much better on a Jeep we had with 40’s. Personally I don’t like the idea of running hydro brakes and steering. I like separate systems so all my eggs aren’t in one basket.

I have never had hydro boost on anything. Just seems all of the cool kids have it. If I can run without DOD and use engine vacuum for a vacuum brake booster I will. If @Desert_K5 is relocating his from below, I would buy his brackets from him.

That's the same engine in my Sierra, L86, very nice engine...you know, Edelbrock makes a bolt on high helix Eaton supercharger for that, talking 540 RWHP, likely about 700HP at the crank, with no other mods....(although it would be a better gain with long tubes)...just sayin'....

The flex may be limiting off road
But look at all of that ground clearance.
I give up, what is it?
See below.
Chassis table?
Winner winner chicken dinner.

I am going to start with bare, new steel for the frame and everything built off of it.

This frame jig came up on FB MP for $300. The guy did not know what it was. Figured that was scap price for it. Not. He and his 70 year old dad bought a property, lock, stock and barrel. The previous owner built boat trailers. He is gone and the only daughter sold it all off once. One 4600sf block building, one 4000sf pole barn, semi sized paint booth and more metal racks than I have ever seen in one place. Welders, plasma cutters, lathes and mills. All of it for sale. I was a good boy and only left with the jig.

I have also had issues getting good trailers for food concession builds. A client just ordered an 8'x16' by 7'-6" inside with 2 doors. 10 to 12 weeks for delivery and $12k plus tax. So I might start building my own.

“So I might start building my own.”
Because you don’t have enough to do right? Take it easy Holmes...
I will add it to the build time. 6 months instead of 4. I also would not have to deal with making the purchased trailer work. I spent 40 hours extra on the last one because it was crap.

I get it, some of the stuff that gets built nowadays is a joke. I’m just giving ya a hard time. We built the trailer from scratch for my buddies Jeep camp trailer. Then you know it’s square and welded correctly.

I recently acquired this hood ornament.
Is actually for a 47, but thought I'd offer it to you b4 it goes up on evil bay
