Funny thing is in my little town for the longest time the only coffee place open in the mornings was a gas station with a Subway in it. So all the old guys in town were hanging out at Subway for morning coffee.
That's where I first met Dave.....Okay that last part was made up, but the rest is true.

I see being the type to hang out with the other old farts at the coffee shop in the morning!
I think old trucks are far simplier than horses. They do what you tell them (even when it isn't what you want) and they can be ignored for weeks on end when you are short on cash to feed them.

Do my point with Scott. That doesn't strike me as a horse kinda guy... It still works.
I grew up with horses. Did the whole 4H thing and all that jazz. Mom said you have to ride everyday to keep a good horse. I hated it so much I was an 8 year old kid pretending I was still napping so I wouldn't have to ride horse.

And I have never owned a horse, or a truck with a single reservoir master cylinder!
What are the chances I could remove the rattle can primer and expose the original finish below? Is there a process for this?
some cheeper paints can be removed with dollar stove cheep oven cleaner . i have seen it done on pinstripe paint before . try a small spot with $2.00 can of oven cleaner and see what you get .
I like wearing them if I'm taking something hot out of the oven...
Good brake cleaner might do it but I'm not sure how it will affect the paint below it.
I had some mineral spirits handy this weekend so I gave it a try. Didn't do anything to it. I guess if it's set pretty good, I can worry less about painting over it.

I probably wouldn't do that. I would strip it.
Some paint can have adverse reactions to pre-existing primer.
Yeah, that's my worry.
Don't you know a guy who could come up with a cool wrap color for it?
I have not ever found anything that will take off cheap paint without damaging the base surface in some way. And then there is not enough good material left to cut and polish. This is how the "patina" look started.

I was able to remove a rattle can white paint job once with a HI pressure commercial pressure washer. Took about 2 hours to completely do a 36 Ford coupe. I ended up with a pretty cool dark blue patina color.
You lucked out with poor adhesion. Primers generally do not have that condition. I managed to pressure wash the green paint off of a 1976 K5 once down to the primer that a was applied before paint. Didn't get much farther than that as the primer held.
