1968 c30 "Papa Smurf" prerunner build. links, beams, and turbo

Damn that sucks. You worked so hard just to get screwed at the last minute.

What about your tuner? Is he flexible with his schedule?
Tuner is like me he doesn't sleep! So yah he is flexible. He works a full time day job and then works out of his shop from 6pm ish to 3am every night. He wants to see the truck running to and has told me whatever it takes on his end to get it going before the weekend he is down for.

I'm a big believer in "everything happens for a reason" and although when your struggling and grinding it's usually hard to keep that mind set. I still believe in that motto after all of the flaky wiring and tuning guys I've dealt with in the last 3 months. Ultimately the flaky wiring guys forced me to study up on wiring and the proper way to run accessories and I'm actually much happier now that I wired the whole truck myself. Because well I know how the truck is wired and what's going on it's something I learned to do out of all of it.

Same goes with the tuners. If I didn't have all the tuners flake out like they did I would have never met the guy I'm dealing with now. Who has gone above and beyond helping me and actually teaching me things along the way. Also meeting him and spending time at his shop with him he owns a mill... and found out I'm a machinist. And he currently needs some help getting that stuff going. So I may actually end up working for the guy. Even just enough to pay him back for the amount of time he has into my truck is fine by me.

Also found out we both like going to Mcdonalds to get chocolate shakes at 2am and then going to millionaires houses to raid there ls parts shed when they aren't home....but that's more of a story to tell for Dunefest.

Your wife ok with the bromance?
She's cool with it. She knows how much I want to finish this truck.

Although I do have a honey do list a mile long to take care of as soon as Dunefest is over. She's been awesome the last couple months with me working on this as much as I have, but after Dunefest it's time to work on some projects she wants to do. And honestly I'm okay with it. I could use a break from working on the same truck everyday.

I hear you on this part. I have been putting so many things off. My wife has been very patient. I hope that rich or swetty want to mow my lawn.

Sucks about the cam Nate. The pic posted on FB got me all excited. Having the right 'go to' people makes such a huge difference.
