1969 Buick Wildcat Custom build. Sold it.

Picked up the new to me mill today. 8.1L from a propane powered truck with low miles. Was bummed to see surface rust in the cylinders. Not too bad, but enough I will have to pull it apart and go through it. Hopefully the bearings are good. Engine has been sitting without spark plugs for a while. He did right by me on price. So I am OK with it.

Yes. The Buick is wide and flat looking. It might just be the intake making look taller. Sitting in front of the 5.7, it looks massive.

I remembered after I said that how flat the Bu-ick intakes are

I am the king of Craigslist.

Bought an early 700r4 to build for the Buick. I want the overdrive but want to keep the original cable driven speedo. Picked up a working one from an 87 Astro camper van a guy is converting to AWD. Paid him $200.

He called yesterday, asked if I still had it and can he buy it back. ?????????? He found a van with a rebuilt engine with a bad transmission. OD does not work. So he offered me $400 for the one I paid $200 for and he brought the re-builder to me.

Got to wonder about some people.

That's why I'm afraid to sell the trans and tcase I pulled out. I know I'll find some abandoned project for a great price that just needs a transmission and/or tcase and I'll have sold the extras that I had.
