1969 C10

Slow process of putting it back together.
Looking at those instructions and stuff that is way easier then the ez wiring harness I put in my truck.

They were pretty much useless and I tossed it in the trashcan.

That's the kit I did on dad's bronco and I had no issues following it. I did print them out on 36"x48" paper in color and stuck them to the walls of the shop. That was really handy.

ok, the original sun visor is that odd aqua type color, same for the seat belts but..
I'm thinking to switch to the green that matches the interior but which one is it from the choices?

I'm thinking it's "dark green"
Not a huge priority but I'm wondering which one? I don't want that light aqua color

Not sure what will and won't fit. It's a standard, I'm assuming stock 69' battery tray. I'll measure later tonight and see.

Isn't the paint and interior code on the plate on firewall? Not sure it has a firewall plate

Does it still have the SPID on the inside of the glove box door? That's where the paint code and interior codes would be.

Dimensions
Im thinking a basic cheapo from
Oreillys to get it going.... for now. They don't last long out here in AZ anyway

what size would be best and how snug should it be?

of these?

I was hoping you started on the wiring.

I have a 6 year old optima in my truck, it has out lasted the tires, engine, 4 transmissions and 1 transfer case. The hold down broke and flipped the battery and grounded the positive side terminal to something and has a hole in it. :haha:

@Babaganoosh
Sorry to disappoint everyone here, but I'm not doing it. It's just something I'm not even the slightest bit comfortable doing. Mechanical stuff I can bulldoze through but electrical/wiring, I have not been able to generate even the slightest bit of interest in doing.

maybe if someone were local/close enough to walk me through it, id reconsider but the truck is going to vintage motors az on Wednesday of next week for wiring and initial start up, which I'll be there for.

sorry but sometimes knowing your limitations and more importantly yourself, will hopefully help in the long run with this truck.

Completely understand, not a bad thing to do.

Upon further research this truck is a Custom/10. So the fender badges that came with the purchase being CST/10 are not correct. Further proving this is not a CST is the emblem on the glove box you can see the out line of the old "custom c10" emblem. Also the aftermarket CST emblem that also came with the truck does not fit the holes in the glove box.

was the wood green dash bezel offered for the Custom 10 same for side molding?

So, Not a CST/10 but a Custom/10
The SPID has Z62.
Z84 is CST and Z62 is custom

The truck has had at least one re-paint in its life for sure, and not a very good one. I could have sworn the VIN on the doors were silver? Mine is painted over

If you get really lucky the build sheet is under the bench seat. My 66 had one there. You can see the marks from the seat springs.

Not sure if interior color for newer trucks might be on there. The 66 doesn't have color interior.

Nothing under the seat. This truck was almost completely taken apart when I bought. The entire inside of the cab was removed
