I have a 1970 Chevy Blazer that I rolled on Monday 12/27/2010. I'm only the third owner of this truck and I've had it for over 15 years. It has less than 90k actual miles. It broke my heart to see it in this condition, but it is what it is.

Pics of the scene are attached. I'll try to post some more pics of the damage later.

It is 4WD with a 1976 350 engine, 3-speed on the column transmission, 6" Skyjacker leaf spring lift, 35" BFG Mud Terrains (in good condition) on American Racing Outlaw I rims.

One corner of the hood and both front fenders are crumpled. The top is probably ruined, as it has a piece missing above the passenger side window, and it has a has a few holes in it.

It's probably drive-able, but I'm assuming the insurance company is going to total it.

Any idea what this (or part of it) is worth?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah I don't get it. She looks fine. I know I'm missing damage pictures but how bad could it be? It's just taking a dirtnap:woot:

Or fix the busted stuff and carry on. The parts list you have won't bring any significant money anyways.

Crumpled fenders?
Dented hood?
Cracked fiberglas top?

Its still in better shape than any other 1st gen blazer Ive ever seen.

Now would be a good time to get a soft top. It would probably fit better than a replacement hard top on modified sheetmetal :waytogo:.

$100. Tell me when I can come get it. I'll bring cash or bottlecaps.

when they total it tell them you want to buy it back, they shouldn't make you pay more than a $100 or 2 for it.
I had the option to do that on my last car that was totaled, I let it go because I had too many cars but it was a good running clean no rust 91 fifth ave, just needed a trunk.:dunno:

yep buy it back.

and never let them take it to get looked at / apraised for value . you might never see it again. thay can come to you. dont let them fool you.

I've got a similar photo of my '72..... Went to the passenger side also.

The stuff that got dented is easy to replace. Even a new top isn't hard to find, most people (including myself) hate them and will give them away for next to nothing.

:usaflag:

There's a 1st gen top on Craigslist here in Lexington, KY.

$400!

Someone watches American Pickers eh?
