HINZ28 submitted a new Build:

1971 K/5 Blazer

Been tracking this one for a few years finally got my opportunity to take it home. Buddy of mines father in law has quite the collection that is getting sold and moved closer to town. Went out there last weekend to help him get started. Came home with the blazer I’ve been bugging him about for some time. Here’s the picture I’ve had saved from a few years ago

Blazer actually fired right up. Moments after this picture was taken I wiggled the steering wheel and blew power steering fluid all over him :doah:Pressure line had failed....

Was able to go drive it out and up onto the trailer

Of course this photo is more focused on my new tow rig :woot:8C08C306-4F05-4DAC-A856-7410658E095B.jpeg

I don’t even remember how many LS parts trucks you have anymore, but are you doing anything with that into this truck?

Well I do have 6.0 LS sitting on a stand :D

This blazer may or may not just turn into a parts truck.

Well dang. Welded on some mufflers, changed fuel filter and air filter had it running pretty decent. Hit the highway, coming back into town and have a car on my tail being impatient so I pull to the side. Truck died and wouldn’t restart, time to chase the gremlins

Oh and I have a tap for the center cap bolts if you need to use it. Also have the old bolts if you want them.

a CK5 member is looking for hinges for the hatch if you want to sell them.

Are you gonna try to clean up the paint at all? Interested to see if it will come back with a buffin

No, paint is terrible red paint over the original Light Red. Buncha patches and bondo, i had thought about trying to find as much light red underneath as possible by striping the dark red. Messed with one fender, not gona work out. I’ll just leave it.
