1972 OLBLUE Blazer

This may or may not be my longest, most extensive build
That 3spd set up is just cool, it would be perfect for a swb 6 cylinder truck (on 40’s :pimp: ).

Blazer frame update. Axles are hung, zero rate installed in the front springs. Stainless Brake lines all ran, fuel lines and regulator ran. Starting to look like something. 2254C4F2-0109-4136-9ED1-0662EE34DE51.jpeg

Started tearing down the NP205. ORD sells and bolt kit and gasket kits. Just cleaning up and re sealing everything. Pulled the speedometer gear and it looks like it’s going to need replaced.

Have things changed since this post?

Martin
Nope I’ll still use the doors, fenders, hood and this cowl section. The bedsides are the only thing that really changed. I wanted to patch them up but ended up getting new ones. I’ll have to spray bomb them and try to match the patina.

Got the engine crossmember mocked in. Need to place the engine in next to see where it’s gona sit. Then bolt it into place. This exclusive creations crossmeber seems like a great piece, with plenty of adjustability. IMG_9641.jpeg

Time to scuff and shoot with with some raptor liner. Then flip it over and bolt on the bedsides

This was a $100 marketplace 5.3 I’m just using as mock up. I have an LQ4 6.0 that’s getting new bearings and machine work that will be replacing it. Need to order Dirty Dingo slider mounts. The mounts thag came with the crossmember do not have enough adjustment.

Scored a rear seat today at what they call a Junk Jount out in western Nebraska.

I placed an order for a set of seat covers like the ones pictured. Black, with gray Highlander inserts.

Got the body mount bolts all figured out, test fitting front floor brace and wheel houses. They still need raptorlined.

Tore down the 6.0 LS. This engine had a catastrophic oil pump failure. Never seen an oil pump shatter like that. Cam bearings look toasted so I’m sure they all are. Hopefully going to machine shop this week
