1972 OLBLUE Blazer

This may or may not be my longest, most extensive build
All for fun off-road sells this 6 point family cage that come bent and ready to weld. I got that finished up a bolted in over the weekend. Feels a little safer hauling the kids around. I added car seat tethers to the floor board.

Finally had a place to mount the fire extinguisher

Buttoned up the topper and tried the heat out. I need to drive this more than I do.IMG_1781.jpeg

The fake patina on the bedsides just doesn’t look right in pictures. I don’t notice it as much in person. Trying to decide if it’s worth re doing.

Drove it today again. The sm465 seems pretty whinny I know most of them are but this one seems to make a little more noise. Wish I would have put a NV4500 in, definitely more driver friendly.

Haven’t got caps on yet or good pictures but here’s a teaser. Beadlocks are gone and going back with the white steel wheels and hubcaps. I think this fits the truck much better.

Bump?

Well it was in the 70s a few times recently so I rolled the top up.

This picture was also taken for a for sale ad. No one wants it. So I guess it’s time to make it more better.

NV4500 from an 01 Silverado. I have the bell for it too.

When that happens I’ll toss this cammed 6.0 in with it.

Well I have a 6.0 and NV4500 for the next project

OlBlue made its way to AZ last week
