The children in Mexico won't screw it up twice.
5.00 a gal gas, hell yeah. Good time to buy. Buy the time we get an American President again I'll be ready!I saw that and then @obijuank5 had an L29 posted for sale too. It's like the month of L29's.
That's what I have been doing.5.00 a gal gas, hell yeah. Good time to buy. Buy the time we get an American President again I'll be ready!
Great minds and all...That's what I have been doing.
I got a truck with 8.1 (L18)
I got a suburban with the 454 (L29)
I am working on a deal for an engine and harness 454 (L29)
I can afford them now because no one wants them

That's what I figure. I buy parts and gas instead of making a payment to the bank. It's crazy how they don't have the street cred they deserve even right out of the box from gm. 5 bucks a gallon isn't a big deal when there isn't a loan on the truck. So smoke em!
In an attempt to cure some driveability issues and prolonged hot starting time the Crawlabago is getting a new fuel pressure regulator and all new injectors.

MAWDo the cap and rotor too
I wonder if the distributor I have now will work? I'm leaning towards keeping the factory EFI but controlling it with a Holley setup. Then I'd put the sniper on something else; maybe sell it with the Mark IV engine.MAW
The stock dist is plastic, and pretty hard to get to in both a 400 series and a square.
Knowing what I know now I would replace with an aftermarket alum while the engine is out.
Are you in the correct thread?I just did injectors and harness and full distributor and coil. It's not bad. Biggest issue I had was I got an engine light for the timing and had to watch timing with the scan tool and the dang distributor hit the intake before it was down as low as the internet said the timing should be but it got the light to turn off though.
Someone mentioned L29 injectors then replacing a distributor was talked about, I did all of that recently. I was simply stating I didn't know the timing had to be done with a scan tool and not a timing light. Are you in the correct thread?
