Oh, and the stock grill, well, I had to grease the sides and dangle a twinkie in front of it to get it go back in. But, it did! No trimming!

Folks around here keep a set of donuts around to drive through inspection and not raise flags, always goofy looking.
Mud flaps and sensible driving goes a long way.

They did, but, Big truck, right on the line of street legal and not.

On the lower part of the grill,I had to hack both ends off the lower cowl that hold the lower front turn signals, ends I hacked off kind of flopped around and were not secured very well. I built a couple of L shaped brackets, Drilled some holes and added bolts, nuts and washers. Secured well now.

The wrenching God's have shined down on me. I actually already had fittings to attach the aftermarket steel-braided trans cooler lines I bought from wally-world. A bit of Teflon tape on the radiator end.

kennyw, the resident CK5 CHOP-SHOP owner, thank you, for the front turn signal lense assemblies. Finally got them installed.
This what $100 looks like from Dayco. I remember one of you (skunked) had trouble with your radiator hoses. Well, I took a few measurements. 8.1 water pump outlet takes a 1.750 ID hose end. Aluminum radiator has 1.5 OD outlets. I remember Skunked had trouble getting the correct bends and diameters.
So, I just got universal ribbed hoses.
Then, I got 4 feet of 5/8ths and 4 feet of 3/4's and enough worm gear clamps to secure them all.

Harbor Freight had these 13.5K lb shackles on sale, so I bought 2. They fit good in my DIY4X A-bomb winch mount.

One thing I like about those universal hoses is they are really thick and seem like they should last a long time.

I’m running the same lower hose however I’m using the factory 8.1L hose (cut down) for the upper. Those damn universal hoses were $40 bucks a piece. They are beef for sure….

Apparently, GM couldn't figure out what parts it wanted to use back in the day as there are several different versions of accumulators/ reciever-dryers available and different configurations I just needed to see what I had originally, and get the same replacement parts.
