But yeah anything thinner is tack tack tack tack...

Did you contemplate adding a 1” body lift?

Neat boot on the sm465 shifter. Youre the only one I've seen actually using it.
You gonna have clearance to remove the 205 without pulling the cab if ever needed?
My fuel gauge wiring ran down with my starter wiring, it was a tan/pink(peach?) color too.
Got a power probe?that could be, I traced it back to the bulkhead connector.
Got a power probe?
Question about the starter wiring....
what the heck is this tan wire for? It was bundled with the starter wiring however it’s considerably longer than the others. I don’t see listed anywhere on the schematic either.....
In your year, there should only be two tan wires under the hood. One is for the prop valve electrical switch (which obviously is not in the area you are working) and the other would be for fuel level sender in the tank. If yours is a single tank truck, that should be your fuel level wire going to the gas tank.
18 ga tan could be fuel sender or brake pressure warning light. I'm guessing fuel sender from the location it's at.

On my 1973 wiring diagram it shows that wire going from the starter to the ammeter in the instrument cluster.
I can see where it would be longer than the red and yellow wires, but it should be about the same length as the purple wire. My diagram also shows it has an in line fuse. Maybe when they were making the harness someone accidentally pulled too much wire and they were too lazy to trim it back. You have a one-off wire harness.
