Yeah @skunked
What this guy said!
But put the fish plate inside the framerail... I don’t think there a rule about inside or outside is there?
I think it's just easier on the outside, no fuel/brake lines to deal with.

They have to be moved anyway though?I think it's just easier on the outside, no fuel/brake lines to deal with.

I'm surprised some frame after the axle wouldn't need removed. Or did you mean the 14" in front is the only "hard" part?
I'm curious how much the flip kits drop the rear and if it will make the rear lower than the front. Trying to figure out what I could measure ahead of time to determine that. Don't suppose you have any insight since you're ahead of me on the planning.
Yeah, that's what I was wondering. Would be easier to do longer shackles except maybe some pinion issues. I haven't looked to see if this truck is a 1-piece or 2-piece shaft. The 66 is 2-piece.they would need to be at least unclipped from the frame. Have to shorten, reflare the brake line anyway.
6" has to be removed off the end of the frame too. So it's shortened 20" overall.
from what I can gather the drops are 1.5-2" lower in the rear for the level look.
edit- flip alone looks like it's 6". Maybe you can use a longer shackle for an inch or two?
