I installed the steering box repair kit along with the ORD steering brace, steering box, crossmember and engine mount pedestals.

I found some new 52’s on bookface that were used for mockup only. Installed those along with the ORD flip kit and heavy duty shackles.

For some reason I have some slop at the rear shackle

The front of the spring fit correctly in the hanger. The gap at the shackle is probably 3/16”-1/4”.

Maybe I am confusing the front springs. I know those are wider factory.

I know there are some variations in spring widths which can be fixed with bushings. In this case the springs are 2.5” and it appears the shackle opening is 3”. A couple 1/8” washers will probably fix it :dunno:

Our Ace Hardware sells these nice grade 8 washers that are thick. They work perfect for stuff like this. I also used them on my old beadlocks.

Did you order the fat ones? I had to slap mine on with a rubber mallet
:dunno:

I ran into that issue with Diy4x front spring eye bushings in my front springs. I had to buy spacers from him to take up the extra space. bet it's just the bushing that is in that spring eye. Some have a shoulder to them and some don't I think.

measure yours and tell me. ORD doesn’t specify the opening size on their website. I also think it’s a spring bushing difference.

a couple 1/8” spacers/washers is all I would need. I remember seeing those on Kert’s website.

Also seek them at the hardware store. I may still build a pillow block for mine
