1974 K10 Dirty Sancho

Saved from cruel and unusual punishment
Since it seems like we are hassling @skunked.... Are the u-bolts tight or did you just run out of thread? @skunked uses ALL the threads on his ubolts. Waste of money otherwise.

and I have a socket deep enough for those u-bolts.

Ordered longer e-brake cables from a 69 K10. The housing length is 34.5" over the 28.5" stock on K5's and K10's. Also ordered the e-brake levers that slide onto the shoes, I was missing one. Lug nuts and a couple center caps are on the way too.

Housing length? What am I not following?

Cleaned up the NP205, replaced the output seals and blasted that blue crap paint off the outputs. Installed new seals on the adapter and and mated the SM465 to the adapter and the NP205. The paint @Truckman4life mentioned ended up being very close to the paint that was on them already. Very pleased with the outcome.

Are you just cleaning them? No paint?

initially my plan was to have them media blasted but that plan went to $hit with the China virus situation. So I ended up getting creative with some rolocs but in only had 2” which didn’t fit between the raised edges very deep. I ended up buying some 1.5” rolocs that were 1/2” thick that did an awesome job with a hose spraying the wheel.

the wheel pictured I just sanded the non raised area with 220 which will be painted. The raised sections I’m going to sand/wet sand.

I’m thinking a light gray for the paint

here’s the rolocs I used

That will look great! I’m not a fan of the black on those. Can’t wait to see them with your new tires mounted!

I don’t care for the black either.

here’s one rim ready for a wipe down and tape. I just went to 600 (wet) on the lip, raised area and inside around the lugs.
