I had Monday of and took a trip to the local wrecking yard. Found a nice windshield, hood, and passenger fender. I also grabbed the new looking wiper motor and a few misc parts.

I installed the windshield and hood as soon as I got home.
I could too - but it wouldn't be in the shape I received it in!!!!!! those are a PITA to install...
The only PITA was the dried out lock strip I had to reuse. I need to go back and replace it as soon as I get a new one. It broke into 6 or 7 pieces before I was done. But the gasket I pulled from the donor was a recent install and easy to reuse.

I tracked down my hesitation problem.
Cylinder 5 was the worst but cylinder 6 was also partially fouled. I'm not completely sure but I think it's burning oil. I may need a set of hotter plugs next time.

I also ran a compression test and was happy with the results.

I drug home a matching C20 last night. It has a slightly better interior than the C10. I'll put the nicer parts on the shortbed and the not as nice ones in the GMC and drive it as a tow rig/ dump runner.
The kid I bought the 3/4 ton truck from could not get it to start Friday so I was able to get the truck very cheap. Today I added two gallons of gas too the tank and it started up without issue.
More time was spent finishing the floor rust repair in the shortbed today.
I spent some time Sunday swapping more interior parts between the two trucks. Fixed the ash tray door by roving the good one from the GMC. Installed the crappy dash and gauge bezel in the GMC. Cleaned the better dash and gauge bezel to install in the Chevy after I get the gauge cluster pulled and cleaned.
I also tried a graffiti remover on the hood to see if I could get down to the original paint. The paint is too thick for that approach though.

With swapping interiors, the shortbed will be setup for AC too.
