1977 Chevy k10 "N Debt" build.....Dash install completed

View attachment 230448 Originally when I purchased the truck it was going to be a mild build, closer to a resto. But as with most of us that changed somewhere between buying the truck and driving it home. 350/350TH/NP203

Next thing tackled was the electrical, I purchased the EZ wiring 21 circuit kit and replaced all of the electrical with the exception of the dual tank wiring. I installed an electric fuel pump and am planning on a fuel cell on the back of flatbed (down the road). I also bypassed the keyed ignition and installed rocker switches.

Made the worn down 350 a little prettier, replaced the stock exhaust with some Hooker headers and Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers, and replaced the old spark plug wiring with some Taylor wires:

And for my next project, I picked the axles up in Nebraska:waytogo: And a whole bunch of ORD parts:

Hydro assist is down the road, but I have way too many projects rattling around in my head

woooowhoooooo nice start

are we behind any more on the build or is this up to date?

Up to date as of now I never intended on doing a build thread but I was feeling left out. This started about 6 months ago, I haven't even gotten to wheel it yet since the PO has mismatched axles :angry1: And I'm heading to Kansas for work so it's gonna be awhile before I get to do more, probably buy more toys tho:D

It should be illegal to take 60s our of our state. We need them too.

You brought one in from Iowa, so he was able to take one out.

Actually I took two, but the other went to a note worthy cause we all know as ORD

Cool build, I like white SWB's :D. What are your future plans?

Well after I get the tons rebuilt she will be getting 4" ez rides upfront with the zero rates to push the front out a bit. I'm removing the bed for a flatbed and cutting the frame behind the shackle. Haven't totally decided on tires but I'm leaning towards something in the 37-40" range

Sounds like it will be pretty stout. Are you going to keep the auto?

Check out my build in my sig, pretty similar to yours other than my crappy front axle.

For now I am sticking with the auto, but nothing is set in stone. If all goes as planned it should be severely over built.

Why a flat bed?

Martin

Mainly because I like the flatbed look, It won't be a full bed. It will be truck width behind the cab to accommodate the fuel cell and the tool boxes, but then it will slim down to frame width right before the rear tires. That way I won't have to worry about the rear tires interfering with anything.

Gotcha. Each to their own I guess, but your box seems in to good of shape to replace it with a flatbed.

With the exception of a little rust on the bottom of the bed it is in great shape, and I will make sure it finds a good home:thumb:

Why would you want to get rid of the best looking front end on '73-'87 GM trucks?
