1978 K30 SRW

Well slight change of plans. My good friend kept bugging me to buy this truck so I ended up caving and buying a V30 dually. However, the 78 will have more done to it. It won't change cosmetically but its getting a gear vendors overdrive, new seat and vinyl floor mat, new flowmaster exhaust and a step bumper.

Did you sell the SRW? Sorry couldn't tell which truck you were discussing in your response.

Little update the 78 K30 got new exhaust with 40 series flowmasters.....sounds great! Doing some more stuff before my buddy gets it in the spring time.

So here is what I bought.......88 V30 dually.....goes against my "beater" plan but it'll work out. I added the molding, 4" lift and steps. If anyone has anymore of the steps like are on this truck let me know. I have 1 Dick Cepek step and I'd like 1 more.

I really liked the other one!

But Fock yeah that is super nice. I can see why you went the way you did! Clean truck :waytogo:

I love a lifted regular cab 4x4 dually! You gonna stick with the tires that are on it or do something different?

For the moment I'm sticking with those. In the spring i'll order a 255/85R16 KM3's and put them on a set of chrome OEM style wheels.
What chrome OEM style wheels?
I am unaware of a squarebody OEM dually wheel?

You don't anymore unless you have someone chrome plate them for you. These are used
I see, I see. I just pulled the trigger on some aluminum wheels for my k30. I was going to be mildly upset if I found out about a decent source of wheels after that fact!

Well as things go with friends the ol 78 might be back to mine. Someone wanted the dually more than me a few months ago. The 78 actually never left my house I've just been doing things to it for him. It got a new floor mat, seat redone, headliner, lower door carpet and the interior cleaned up. Either going to pull the bottom leaf out of the front pack or put a bigger block in the back to fix the rake.
