Yeah, if I put it back on I’d take the trim off, paint it argent, and get a new bow tie foil.

I’ve been putting this project off for a while. Steering box had a ton of slop and was leaking so I decided to bite the bullet and buy a Borgeson steering box. Also got a steering brace and frame repair kit. I noticed a small crack on the frame when I was swapping the engine.

Well now that you got the fancy Offroad parts, maybe we can get a stock sesh in the books this year.

Change of plans slightly. The cracks weren’t bad so I decided not to put that repair kit on. Thats a lot of work and I don’t think it was bad enough for it. Plus this is mostly a pavement rig anyway. I drilled out the cracks then ground them out and welded them up.

You can kind of see the ORD steering brace.

I think I will eventually get a Borgeson steering shaft as well, but this is a night and day difference. Much tighter and the 12.7:1 quick ratio is noticeable for sure.

Got some new open ended lug nuts to replace the crusty chrome flakey ones so that’s why I had the caps off. I think it looks pretty cool without them.

I bought some crappy ones for cheap. What did you give for those? I saw those, but he wanted more than I was willing to spend.

lol well…$40. I thought asking price was cheap at first then I thought I should have low balled him after I bought them. I think I could definitely make more than I bought them for. Kinda curious if they’d look good on the blazer.
