1978 K5 LS/NV4500

Got the seals on the bottom and bolted the top on. I still have a ton of work to do but just wanted to share a few pics as it’s been 4 years since the top was on and this truck has come a long way since then. I think these Blazers look the best with a hard top. I’m sure I’ll put the soft top back on when it get really hot.

Got all new seals for the hard top, new run channels and felt for the slider windows, parts to convert the back window to manual and a few other little things.

I need to figure out how the slider wing windows work. One of them is really loose.

Yea, agree, the white on the cab clashes with the black soft top, and looks much cleaner with color matched hard top. Not your fault, they dont offer a closer solution. Should just run the hardtop without the glass, pretty much same thing.

Dont get me wrong I love it with softtop as well. Proportions/stance are spot on

I agree, it looks so much better with the hard top. It’s going to be hard to put the soft top back on to be honest.

I was actually thinking the same thing about leaving the windows out, but I’m hoping to get the slider windows working good again and have the best of both worlds.

You should snag a second hard top and keep the windows out lol.

If the functioning windows was best of both worlds, there wouldnt be a market for soft tops.

Having had fully functional windows in my previous k5, its no where near as good. The glass out makes it very close
