Well I personally have never played with turbos, I have way to much money in my 406 to want to make it my first turbo engine.
I would rather cut my teeth on a junkyard 6.0 first.

Plus the cam and compression isn't really what I would want for a fully built turbo engine.
Your diesely rock should have s turbo..
That's why I told him to turbo all the things! Everything needs more air flow.
At least, that's how it works in my world.
Ok, so I believe that you guys are saying that an X pipe has an influence on the sound? I thought that it would just tone it down.
I did 3" mandrel bent stuff under my '72 C10, with an X pipe at the trans tail, then 40 series pair ,hooked to tail pipes out behind the rear tires.
I did it to see what it would sound like with large pipes on a small block. I never thought about if the X would change the tone that much.
I don't have any sound clips of it, but I don't know if it would help you . ...

Oh yeah, H and x pipes do change the tone and sound, without a doubt.
Fairly significant actually
Hmmmf , I just thought the x would flow better , and they would both quiet things some...
It does. Takes that harshness out noticeable from about 2500-2800 and up

An X tends to make it raspier whereas an H makes it lower toned and lumpy sounding.

Excellent thread. Beautiful truck. I too was heavily influenced by the 70's and 80's trucks in all the magazines, maybe even more so since I'm a bit older. I really like the sound of 3" pipes with balance tube, into a 3 chamber muffler (not tube mufflers) hookers sound good but there's several others to choose from. I reccomend against dumps personally, from previous experiences.

The exhaust will come out behind the rear tires.
Really like the paint job/ scheme on your blazer.
I know the majority of guys on this site don't care for roll bars with lights and Lund visors and such, but I like that style and can't imagine my truck without them.
Although my latest edition of this truck will be alot more utilitarian then before, I plan to use this truck alot more for different things. That being the case it will still be loud, obnoxious, and still have the basic styling clues I love.

This truck will be my main camping rig, I plan to mount the Roof Top Tent from the canyon on the back. The roll bar will have some new lights up top and such but I am thinking over using it to mount various other things. Gone will be chrome rims for the hummer rims, while I probably don't need them for the run flat aspect, I love the idea of being able to make a fix on the side of the road/trail/path with a wrench and patch kit. Lastly I'll make a plate front bumper will have a 2 inch receiver mounts for various things like my winch, engine step, tow hooks, etc, and an vise for working around the house and farm.
Version 3 will be alot different then the previous 2.
And I have about a thousand other ideas bouncing around in my head that may or may not happen,

You are the one who had the Red canyon/colorado overlanding rig, right? Just wanna make sure I'm remembering the correct build.
