Maybe but Andy told me that a full 90% of the damage that he has seen is the outer. Sure, peace of mind, but maybe overkill.
Depending on when you need them I'll likely be in Wichita before Christmas visiting customers.

I'll probably pick up a set of plain rock rings for mine as well. I'm as concerned about buggering up the threads on the wheel bolt studs sliding sideways into a rock as I am damaging the lip of the wheel. They stick out quite a ways.

I've seen him drive. Half ring is more than enough.
That's all I will do. Half should give the rim all the stiffness it needs. Heck one wheel/tire/pvc insert is already 132 lbs. Much heavier and my old 6.2 won't be able to turn them.
I need a set of non recentered ones for Wade's rig. Maybe he would split the cost of fuel with you John.
