well im back, had to clean up the mess i made.
i put the box on all by myself.. yes myself, with no hoist or anything! i started to put her back together, grille, etc, hooked up the battery, put gas in it, started her right up. I couldnt drive her, move her or anything at all. cause theres no steering! and ofc i havent worked on the brakes yet! probably in a week or 2 it'll have brakes. i might go crossover earlier than i thought. i got some pics, its bad pics but for now, ill get better ones tomorrow, and ill stand by it so u guys can get the idea of how high it is. im 6'1 and my top box is above my shoulder. dang im liking the truck but this winter is new 2 inch lift springs for the rear and zero rates at 4 corner, then 1 inch body lift. ofc after what happened to formud... Roll Cage is on the list too.. so is TBI.. dang my list is getting shorter but getting longer at the same time!

I would like to know the method for the controlled paint fade, it stops at the stripe just like magic. I. I. I. I. I cant.....stop...... looking at it.
Looks great man, i realy dont know how you got the bed on by yourself. I have done it with a short bed s10, and it was all i could do without damageing something. By the way, i doubt your list will ever get done, youll always add more to the list b4 your done with the first things on the list. And when you get ride of the truck your list will just get transfered to the next project. LOL

yep 1 inch zero rate and 1 inch body lift.. it does not make me happy... need it a bit more higher.. then ill be happy i aint that big, i used to play football, so i for some muscle left... i lifted one end, then dragged the rest over, a lil damage happened in back of the box, the trimming is gonna happen anyhowgmc4cw said:Rich is a big guy. higher yes.. i talked to my inspection guy, hes a good friend of my dad, and his truck is higher than mine and is daily driven. i measured my bumper its at 29 inch in front now, i want to get it up to like 32 or 33 then modify the bumper, i wont get in trouble its gonna be a local truck tho.. and trailered to trails..

shes my finacees kid, kayleigh, she really loves my truck, i took her off roading before when the truck was stock. when she did that thumb thingy i told her to do that again and took a pic of it, so yeah it adds about 1.5 horsepower..Randy92782 said:looks like you added a kid to the truck. any advantages?

been a while..
its been a while.. but today is the first time i worked on the truck since the last post i did for the truck. finally im back to work on this thing.. i moved the box back like a foot to play with the gas tank wiring for the gauges. got that sorted out, i didnt hook it up before, im dumb. now its back to normal.. poured down 5 gallon of gas in the truck, the gauge moved.. it works. and cleaning up the wiring mess around the truck. thats all i did! fixed the wire for the gauge, and clean up the wiring mess. put the box back, tightened it up. at least i did something. the truck still needs steering sorted and brakes. i might go with push and pull type for now til I get the D60 then go crossover..

makin me want to lift the silverado too. thats it for today..
