Hahaha probably! Actually I had very little time to work on the truck and I was excitied to see the part arrived in the mail

the way it looks, yes. but my steering set up will suck, and i dont have any tires, just those bfgoodrich, oh and front driveshaft. needs to be made.

update, i forgot to add. need to regear the rearend to 4.56. front driveshaft. exhaust work. truck is almost done, i just fired her up. started right up, and drove it straight and back, brakes on d60 seems to be working good. wait n see once i get steering hooked up and take it for a test ride.

HOLY DEATH WOBBLE! sorry for not updating lately, been busy. i never thought id experience a death wobble! drove the truck on the road yesterday for the first time since D60 was installed. got the truck up to 40 mph, hitted a bump at around 40-45 then next thing i knew was my whole frontend tossed back n forth bad, almost crapped my pants, slammed on the brakes as hard, easy i can, all the tools that was on the bench seat, fell to the floor. so im like fock that, i was planning on drivin the truck to the gas station n fill er up..(trucks legal just need inspection) turned around, drove back on my dirt road, go up the hill. then no more steering! my steering shaft came offi stopped, put it back on. tighten it as tight i can. then drove it up home easily.

Welded up the shaft, need new steering colum now. will wait til i get new cab.
got crossover on.
Been checking every single bolts to make sure its all tight, etc. u bolt were a lil loose. gotta retighten em every few miles til its settled.
gotta adjust the draglink a few more times til i get it straight n able to make a better sharper right turn.
Brakes work great, took it off roading in 2wd. near the apt.
gotta hook up my front shocks.(might be the reason i got a death wobble )

have you checked to see if your kingpins are tight ? you might need to shim them is they are loose... I had wicked death wobble, threw two washers on each side and now it's right as rain - Sick looking truck, I love GMC grills and 60's!!!

heh. glad to see someone didnt forget abt this truck. nah no updates. but been collecting parts. got new king pins, new brushes n springs for the d60. 4 row radiator, motor was replaced with a stock 350 that i cammed. the 355 is sold to my friend for a good deal had to do it.

then i got a new job working at fastenal as support service. im a tech/tool repairer. oh and been spending money on my 2003 silverado instead.

but i will tell u this, if i drive the truck to the garage for inspection it will pass. having connections is good. just one thing, i have no heat and 80 gmc isnt fun to drive. i need to work on the front end again. it rode better with d44 than the d60 Thats what happens if u rush the build. so its on hold for a while. i need to save money for upcoming winter expenses, etc. I might work on it after winter, OR convert it to plow truck and get a sammi for off road

any chance thats a black one for 5,500 bucks? with a 1.6 l eng?

as for the 80. yeah i would miss it, thats why im never gettin rid of it. just got to do some changes.

sweetk30 got a nice plow truck.. and i aint selling it, maybe some parts i wont have the most extreme truck. it'll be just another built beater for dd and plowing in the winters, with light to moderate trails. the sammi i want would be a full time trail rig.

if you get the new cab and the body is rust free and you get the bodywork done and get it painted, it will certainly be one of the best looking plow trucks imo. who makes your passenger side steering arm for running your crossover setup?

thats the plan w new cab, new everything.

as for the steering arm, i bought it from sky mfg.
