1980 K5 Blazer

Your son was one of the first guys I followed when I sign on all those years ago.
Still stealing ideas for my build lol!

Hi there this is Timm Martin, some of you may know my son Scott "Muddysub". I just got my first 1980 K5 Blazer "Molly" and yes my wife name her that way someone other than me named my Blazer.View attachment 469377
Nice Blazer, now Daisy will have some company!

Hey guys, I know I've been scarce around here the last few years but I'm really excited that my dad bought this blazer. It's been parked next to Daisy for a few years, a friend of mine was storing it in my dad's yard so it was easy for him to take it over. We'll get a build thread going eventually, once there's enough happening to keep track of.

Yes, they are K20 axles 1970 - 1971 front and back 4:10 gears. The previous owner put them under there and had them all rebuilt. Disc brakes on the back too.
Sorry I don't know what you mean by Eaton HO72 I'm very new to this Square body stuff.

That’s awesome and very good axles !
The HO72 is an internal code for the model of the rear axle - it’s actually the “father” of the next generation axle found in the 73 and up squares and is a very stout item. It was made from the mid 40’s until the early 70’s so you have one of the last of the breed so to speak.
Look’n forward to you building your K-5 - by the way bonus points for it having a “granny-gear” 4-spd and NP- 205 ( all gear drive ) transfer case along with the added upgrade in axles!

finally got the shackle flip done.
This Sunday will be the steering box frame repair kit, and gas tank reinstall.

Nice pics and update on the progress but don’t be afraid to put up some pictures of the existing undercarriage - you’ve already got cool axles upgraded front & rear ya’ mine as well show em off to a crowd that likes this stuff.
