Neat little idea you have there. I so know how you feel, I really don't want to destroy the M1008 wheeling.

So I went and got some 52" springs from pick n pull. Got those on along with some shims from wfo.
Fixed both my shackle angle and the majority of my rubbing in 4wd. I think I'm gonna push the springs forward one hole and see how tgae helps. Currently in a Walmart parking to see if I want to trade for a 96 2wd ext cab. We will see how the next hour goes.

So we went. He came. Has a 2wd lowered ext cab. It's a 95 but he sai it has the obd2 setup of the 96? Idk ill investigate more. Not too bad. Not in the best condition but than again its the only offer I've had so far. He's gonna come back tomoro and we are gonna trade.
In the mean time I stopped off by work on the way home to get a few pictures of it in its final configuration.

I let the wife ride it up so she could feel tall once in her life haha.
Man the body roll with these 52s is insane. I can almost feel the back tire lifting driving around the street. The carb still isn't quite all the way either but all in all not a bad little Saturday drive

I agree. But like I said. Truck has been for sale for a few monts and this was the first one to come look. And on the Trade value. It's not that far off bcuz 2wd trucks sell for about the same as 2wd out here. I'd probably have better luck selling it actually.

A 1995 is still a TBI truck, a 1996 is a better truck.

I agree. I went into this thinking it was 96. How do I tell the difference as I'm not familiar with either one. I noticed this has centerbolt valve covers but i don't remember if that's vortec heads only or if its the efi heads? Any other distinguishing marks I can use?

Right but the problem is he's saying its a model year 95 but with 96 components. Like they were swapped in or something. I'm just wondering how to tell the vortec from the tbi just in case it is a 96 in a 95 body

Tbi should have a plain jane circular air cleaner like a carb setup. You can always pull the filter off and take a look.
