If if isn't one thing it's another. Not really sure what to do about other then a ord cross member and who knows if that will work.If if isn't one thing it's another. Not really sure what to do about other then a ord cross member and who knows if that will work.
I have an empty engine bay with an ORD crossmember in the bottom of it. Im doing a 5.3 swap and my motor mount brackets will be here next week. But it might be another week before I set the motor in.
Tell me how much the pan hangs below your frame where the crossmember sits and I will tell you if the ORD part is going to work for us![]()
Your pics make it almost look like it might work.

Yes it would but I'm not sure how to make it so it is strong enough. I have been welding on steel before but not tube.

If the tube is made of steel, I don't see a difference
So why is it suddenly interfering now? I thought you had it all but finish welded at this point.

I thought it would fall into place but the truck had other thoughts. So I'll bump the jack stands up another notch and see what that does.
One day, that way I can keep my bed space.
Friz, do you have the big block or small block cross member?
Small block![]()

I was thinking about something like that but my fab skills are limited.
