I hope I might get a little garage time this up coming week but the in law is in town and I have my brothers graduation Wednesday. Been at work for 12 mins and I'm already surfing here.

Here is the new daily driver

it's got a 7500lb tow capacity, you guys think it would haul the 82 to moab?

Truck and trailer is pushing that weight. I haven't dragged anything with one of those, so I have nothing useful.

Wheel the tacoe!

I figured before I took off to Moab I would give it a try around town, but first I would weigh the truck and get a accurate weight. For the most part the trip is flat, but it does get a little hills near Flagstaff.

The axle has 3.73 gears so it won't be lacking on power.

My concern is more braking power and if the mall crawler and the trailer will whip your tacoe.

Whipped tacoe is not yummy

That trailer have stabilizer bars?

Yes, trailer brakes would be a must and it wouldn't be a race, I have all day to get up. I will be at Moab rim the day before the bash.

So...did he buy it afterwards?
No he kept trying to lowball me and said that he had a line on a 496 for about the same price so I told him he should probably just get that one. He sent me a text a few days later saying "I need a motor BAD. You still have yours?" I never replied.

lets just do a test run. Will load up the truck take it to luvs. Weigh in. They only thing i think you will need is helper bags. For the springs take some of the lean out.

In my experience the tires are what matters the most. Can't tell what's on the Tahoe but I would definitely get at least an 8ply. It will take a little bit of the nice grampa ride out of it and make it feel more like a truck on the highway but it'll help keep you out of the ditch! Other than that I bet it will pull fine. Just don't yell at me if it doesn't.

Yeah that too! I see people come into the boat shop all the time pulling campers and big dumb boats with tahoes and half ton subs. Baba does your Tahoe have that autoride system or whatever it's called? If I'm thinking right it's an air shock setup. Not sure how much they will handle but I bet it will help and may eliminate the need for helper bags? I'm not all that familiar with it so idk for sure. Just throwing things out there for you to think about! Haha wow I posted 2 messages with tech in them!

Probably would have had to add a service charge for putting up with him, even if he did buy it.

"Yes, I still have it, but the price has gone up since yesterday." :deal:
