This truck has a track history of always making it to the designated destination but doesn't always make it home.

When we spread my dad's ashes I hope a trailer isn't needed but I already scoped out a place. :doah:

So before fab time I should probably fix the few leaks I have.

The trans is leaking from the pos drain plug I installed, thinking about trying to clean it wrap some Teflon tape on it and sneak a new o ring over the bolt head. I have no idea why they supplied such a crap o ring that pinches out the side when it gets even just a hint firm.

For what ever reason It is leaking engine oil and running down the bell housing of the trans. I'm pretty sure it's where the auto meter gauge is at the top of the block in the back.

Also have the water spout on the water pump leaking where it goes into the pump, I missed my warranty by 3 months.... Might try and see if they will warranty one anyway.

I use a Teflon style washer on those autos with good results

I should have done it to began with, but I'm trying not to remove the entire plug so I don't dump 5 qts out.

Have any of your old trans pans to steal a plug?

Those are all factory style and they have like a 14.5 head and strip out easy. Not to mention they have a spot weld inside to hold the nut.

Was more for a victim to take and size out sealing options whilst the good plug is in the pan
