I was just cruising minding my own business, was really focused on the gauges trying not to bow tie up again.
 
IIRC it was the AAM.
I guess he's going to have to dig into it either way... But I was thinking if the center pin came out of the carrier it would be easy to diagnose by pulling an axle shaft. Bad thing is if it locked up it could have wiped out the trans too. To me it sounds like t-case though. When a reared starts making grumbly noises it usually takes a seal out and pukes the out the fluid (if there is any). Blah blah blah... Lol sorry for my rambling...
 
Rear axle is a aam 10.5 pulled the cover it looks fine.... going to work my way forward the tcase is next and it's the only thing that wasn't rebuilt and I suspect it jumped and tooth and slapped the chain around.
