those pulleys go all the time, especially in dusty environments

Yeah and I don't know the history behind them. Would be nice to just get new ones and use these as trail spares.
Not sure the price for those but the TBI era ones really weren’t that expensive

I put just a bit over 300 miles on the truck today. Moab is another 70 miles from the house.

Kind of funny I have been driving it for 13 years and this is the most I have put on it in a day.
Still want to haul it with a trailer?

So trip report..

  1. Engine was low on coolant for some reason, added a little over a gallon. Engine got up to 215
  2. Tcase is leaking all over the place not really sure where to start, I had sealed it with right stuff but I think I'm missing something.
  3. 91 octane is expensive at 10mpg
  4. Need a sway bar the truck tends to dive in the front and pick the rear up, at 75 it's a little scary.
  5. The trans is absolutely amazing, hottest it got was 189. I also was ripping through the mountains like it was a corvette. :rotfl:
  6. The look on peoples face getting passed by a 37 year old lifted brick is pretty funny.
  7. Vintage air needs to happen.
  8. The pulley noise is getting worse, need to address that.

It will rev to 7500 :dunno:

7500 on a stock bottom end? You do like to party, but not for long.

LQ9 right? seems like those even with a cam only like to go to 6700-6800. You sure on the 7500?

Edit:
Good for you getting it out and driving, some of your handling stuff will be aided by a swaybar since your probably feeling a bit of body roll and a sway bar will help. But only side to side, not front to back.

There can be some really odd handling things created by the rear end that make the steering and front end do odd things.
