7500 on a stock bottom end? You do like to party, but not for long.

LQ9 right? seems like those even with a cam only like to go to 6700-6800. You sure on the 7500?

Edit:
Good for you getting it out and driving, some of your handling stuff will be aided by a swaybar since your probably feeling a bit of body roll and a sway bar will help. But only side to side, not front to back.

There can be some really odd handling things created by the rear end that make the steering and front end do odd things.
Completely stock lq4 with 600 lift springs. I thought it was to much rpm not sure why it's set at 7500, to much party for my taste especially sense the cam dies off anyway.

The rear suspension beams going down the highway if the air pressure is high. I don't doubt the rear end is making it do goofy stuff. A set of custom springs are probably going to happen eventually.

The back seat is where the magic happens.

Glad to see its in and killing tires!
He's back

:haha: RIP LQ4

Dude, WTF. you just can't have nice things.

And I told you a stock bottom end ain't taken no 7500RPM. Kids these days just don't listen.
It's not blown up, was just making a funny. With the trans in drive it won't reach over 6000 so unless I'm begging for attention it won't ever see 7500.

When I upgrade the engine, I 'll set it to where the cam dies off no sense going to the moon for nothing.

So who has tips on getting the tcase sealed? It's not the input or output shaft it's everything in the middle. I thought about tightening the case halfs just to see if that helps, I have used right stuff in the passed but I think I'm missing something.

I find it hard to believe it leaks just cause it's old.

The only thing that can leak in the middle is the case halves and the shaft of the shifter. If you got the sealer done right and the bolts torqued, it should have been good.
Are you sure that it isn't the front output?

I'm pretty sure it isn't the front output but could be wrong, it looks like the case halves is the worst. I did it by hand with a 3/8th ratchet and got them pretty snug, I need to look up the spec and just put a torque wrench on it.

10mm bolt is only 15-22 ftlbs, gotta watch the Gorilla Arm torque method on Aluminum.
I found out about that on my last tcase, I had to JB weld a stud into one for the adapter bolts because of the 20 times I had to drop it down for trans swaps or leak fixing.

Dumb question since I know you are well practiced in pulling the t-case. But are you sure the adapter is tight to the trans. I know you had to put a stud in but when mine backed off the atf flowed to the low spot on the t-case. All 4 of the bolts were barely tight on mine. When I cranked on them to tighten up I could feel the threads in the trans were stripped. Had to pull the t-case and install thread inserts to the trans. Just food for thought.

Yes that is correct, they are tight and leak free at that location. I'm going to lock tight studs in and use nuts on the other side.

Cleaned It up a bit and went for a short drive.

Front and rear output seals leaking, couple plugs and maybe the case halves but my gut says the front output is the worst.

What the heck smoopy????

But I guess that this is better than the trans going to crap...
