I also prefer working in phases to keep enjoying it instead of seing a pile of parts for years and not be able to use it.
I agree with that too. I try to plan my upgrades in a way that I can drive my vehicles every summer. 10 year projects are not for me... (unless I have something else to play with during I guess).

There’s a lot of guys that enjoy the build and design process itself more than driving/wheeling the vehicle. We had a thread on CK5 about this subject a few years ago.

@Babaganoosh glad to see your enjoying the truck and I understand why you wouldn’t want this one to turn into a bent raisin.

Yup and I normally fall into that category, which is why we always buy build sell repeat, but when you get a project with family ties you gotta be careful you don’t go too far.

When you post a "this has been discussed in another thread let's move on" comment you are supposed to include a link to said discussion so it can be resurrected......

So if this truck is seemingly done, why isn't there more pictures and videos of it doing what it was built to do?

FIND THE TIME TO GO PLAY!!!

I know for sure that I don't do that enough, and I always find things that I want to do to mine. However, the reality of my budget kicks in.

I normally would but I’m forced to browse on my phone now (my firewall is blocking CK5 now) and searching on my phone sucks.

I have been reading these replys and thinking this afternoon on how to reply to them all and this one hit me the most.

After working a long day and my body hurting I'm clearly working to much and don't have the free time to do this. I also don't like going out on my own but I'm trying to make a get together next weekend and possibly do some wheeling.

So I cleaned the transfer case and took it for a drive, saw a lot of fluid slinging from the front driveshaft output seal so I replaced it. Now it leaks even worse, is their something above the seal that could be a known leak? I'm at a loss, @6872xtc it was the rear case half that was leaking for you right?

After driving it on my last adventure, it needs a maintenance once over again, dang this thing is a attention whore, worse then a girlfriend. :haha:

The fill port in the old rear case half was the leak before.
It sounds like you have to do some serious investigation!

Looks dry in that location, it's definitely coming from the front case half area. I wish I could put the truck up on a lift and run it, I don't want to resort to jack stands and off the ground...

Does it have a bushing past the seal?
If so did you change it?
How does the seal surface on the yoke look like

Seal surface looked good, I cleaned it out and wiped it with a rag before driving the new seal in. Can't remember if it had the bushing but I'm almost certain that is a yes because of who the previous owner is. The only thing I didn't do was put rtv on the washer, but is that really needed?

I just need to pull the entire thing out and go nuts with rtv.

On the nut if you don't have the rubber washer, yes you need rtv
