Truck looks good in there dude!
Thanks man, it has come a long way.Truck looks good in there dude!
I just looked at the mileage better and it was 562 miles... I'm scared to see how much I spent on fuel. any guesses?
Same here, I didn't build it for mpg. When driving my older stuff I tend to not think about stuff like that. Just enjoy the ride is my main goal!
What? I still can't hear.500miles is no joke! Awesome dude!
Still scared hahahSo how much was the gas?
Sometimes the hardest thing is knowing when to say enough and not screw something up. I look at where my truck is now. And for what I wanted at the time it’s great, but now I wish I could have it back as it was when I started. But it’s not worth the effort of taking it back apart and undoing everything.I have come to the conclusion that this truck is almost done. It will get some improvements but nothing heavy. The biggest thing will probably be rear suspension.
When the time comes I'll build another truck so this one can live it's legacy on and continue to take me on camping trips, tow the boat and give my nieces and nephews a chance to see Grandpa's truck. Most of all my brother's and sisters can see our child hood going down the road.

When I do the rear suspension I'll probably drop it down on some 33's and shorter front shocks.Sometimes the hardest thing is knowing when to say enough and not screw something up. I reached that "done" point on my blazer some years back. I drove it for several years before I started coming up with new things I wanted to do with it. Now I'm getting ready to start some major modifications again and honestly I'm looking forward to building on it again. I'd kinda gotten bored with it.I'm just marveling at the prospect of calling a project complete. I can't imagine ever being done with a truck. Maybe some of it is how you define "done".
I did reach the stage of being bored with the K5. I didn't really have any mods left I could afford and I started to feel like it was a stagnate project.
I am not like that.I reached that "done" point on my blazer some years back. I drove it for several years before I started coming up with new things I wanted to do with it.
