Yeah that’s a decent list. We’ll be getting there sometime Thursday.

I thought about doing it with that cable but the insulation is very pliable and thought it would melt.

That cable is going to power this.

I had been debating about getting a crimper like that. I've had good luck using the hammer style in a 20ton press so I'm curious to hear feedback before I switch methods. I saw your picture of the crimp on IG, so I decided to make you post about here too by asking the question. :D

No worries, thought I did it here. :waytogo:

The nice thing about the hand held hydraulic crimper is, you can use it under the hood or wherever. And if my old, weak hands can use it, anyone can. No force needed.

Under hood use is one of my biggest drivers for getting one.

And you're supposed to have old man super grip strength. That's what we call it around here. Seems like people that work with their hands get stronger grip the older they get.

I don't think that, but maybe I have used too many impact wrenches and air hammers. Bad for joints.

Nope

Yep.

I broke one of the cheap black/yellow Amazon chiniseium specials. Used the wrong dies and they bottomed out prior to completely crimping the end. Much like the gorilla I am, I kept pumping. Snapped the top part of the tool off pretty easy. It's just cast so it didn't take much pressure to break it.

Use the correct dies for the gauge and it won't do that.
