Make sure to check you receive the right parts. One of mine is completely different. Same base part number but different box and missing the last 3 characters that the correct one has. Ill be calling them tomorrow.

Maybe then I can see my twin sister truck.

Got both knuckles and both axle shafts are out... They both look a little rusty, is this going to be a problem? I sprayed them down with some wd40 and lightly used a scotch bright to shine them up.

Some one care to explain how the oiling system works on the axle? I thought it was supposed to go all they way out to the inner C's?

Gear oil is not supposed to go past the seals at the pumpkin.
The shafts are not bathing in oil.

Find out what the o3iginal diameter of the seal surface was for that axle. And check it. I had to speedi sleeve both of mine.

Hmmm, now you got me thinking. I'm hoping ruffstuff has a labor day sale so I can order the cross over. :thumb:

I just need to figure out if the guy was talking about 3/4" bore for the heim joints or 3/4" by X for the heim joint. I sapose I could easily measure the bore of the spacers. Wade what do you have?

http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/78STEER.html This is the kit I will be using, does anyone think I will have a issue with these heims as far as strength and lasting? I'll keep one of the heims for a spare and order a tierod end for the pitman arm side.

I had 3/4x5/8 heims on the tierod and cylinder on the sonoma and no problems with them ever, that was full hydro, 43s, and f'ing heavy ass rig......

Specs on the 3/4 x 5/8 are stronger than a straight 3/4 too btw...

I figured bigger the better. Later down the road hydro assist would be nice but for now it's a factory ls pump and factory box.

Think I'll have a issue? What brand of heims did you use?

Only difference I see is 2 more TPI? What specs were you looking at? I'm not disagreeing with you just would like to see so I can further educate.

Just ordered mine, what was the final out come on your order?

Kept one that was right. Sent the other 3 back. They wouldn't do an exchange. "We can't verify whole sale part #'s and items. You would just get the same parts again."

Hope you come out with the right parts.
