Could I reuse my tierod though with the high steer arms?

I sent the guy a email and a text, it was passed 8 o clock hopefully he returns my messages or I'll call him tomorrow.

I saw that, heim joints would be nice, is it a huge difference?

If I recall Wade said he hasn't had to change one sense he built the Jimmy.

Heard back from him he said no hubs, chevy 6 lug 6 bolt spindles and 3/4 heims. This sound like a good deal. What hubs would I need for these to work?

Does this sound like a good deal?

Every mall crawler needs heim joint steering and high steer. :pimp:

Sweet! If you change your mind, you can always do the sleeves like mrk5 did which allows you to convert a straight hole into a taper hole. Either way, you be blingin!

Yup, the guy had them listed for almost a month, I got them even cheaper then 200. Was a 80 mile trip but it was well worth it. Drove out to BFE down a dirt road... GPS didn't even work the guy had to guide me in by my head lights going down the road. :haha:

I'm curious how this high steer works, It has the mis alignment spacer on it already but it looks like it's missing them for the drag link? How would I hook up the heim to the pitman arm? I would assume that would need a long bolt and 2 spacers, that might come in contact with the springs though?

That is what I was thinking, on the arms I have, do the drag link and tie rod go in the middle of the arms or does one go on top of the arm and other in the middle?

Need to track down a spindle socket and I think tomorrow I'm going to tackle the swap. Maybe today, need to see whats going on first.

Those look like the tie rod goes on top, then the drag link mounts to the the tie rod. Or you could drill another hole on the passenger arm for the drag link to attach.

Im not an expert on this stuff as mine was custom. But looking at the pictures, thats what I see can be done.

I think you might be correct. I have been studying a few different setups.

I could put the tie rod in between the arms a few inches above the factory spot and use a longer bolt putting the drag link above the arm. Or I could put the tie rod above the arm and drill another hole like you suggested.

Here is a close picture.

Would that be still considered high steer though?

how would the drag link be on the top don't I need a longer bolt with the sleeves to allow the heims to have movement?

Also depends on spring clearance. Longer bolt on passener side. Drag link heim on top. Sleaves on top of original arm with tie rod heims at the bottom of the upper arms?

Without the mounted, I plead ignorance.

Ive only built 3 tie rods for my truck. Bent 2 of them.

What kind of stress would the drag link create being spaced off the top of the arm? I would assume I would need to space it up some because of the 2.5 inch tall pack and Adam needing the extra inch of clearance.
