You must be getting older then like the rest of us. I can't pull a pair of skinny jeans past my knees and one drink would probably knock me out for good.
25 years old, I could wear skinny jeans just don't want to. I had 2 last night and felt a little buzzed.
Seems the 12 inch cans is the ticket for me.
full bump the can will be around 3 inches above the top of the frame. I'm thinking about getting new u bolt plates so I don't have to stack a washer on top of the nut for the plate to sit flush. Or maybe I can just attack them with the grinder? The factory plates are 5/8ths thick, how thick should the bump landing plate be that will sit on top of the u bolt nuts?

You should definitely make the landing plate so that you can still get a socket on the u bolt nuts... 
And cut that can at a 45* angle so that the very tip is just even with the top of the frame. That will look much cleaner IMO.

I was thinking about doing that. 
I think it would look cool. I think I can fab up enough parts to make a 6" can work fine though.

If you're not going to run a sway bar, new plates like RuffStuff's would be simple to work with and weld on:

I have a coupla sets and they are stout, plus the flat surface in the middle might simplify what you're doing.

Those seem pretty nice, maybe I wont need new U bolts. They are not a true U they havn't held their shape. I don't see on the website if they are for a 10 bolt or not, I assume the slotted holes make them 1 fit all? How thick are they?
What do you guys think about trying to get a little extra bump travel? I remember reading Stephen saying these springs can go negative arch no problem. I was thinking a inch or 1.5 max passed flat.
