If it were me I would weld a small piece of steel over the existing holes and drill through that for the proper hole size. Is the diameter of the spacers big enough they want try get off canter into the 5/8" holes?

Or is there room to drill new holes in and around the existing? For strength you need to have enough steel around the hole equaling the radius of the hole your drilling.

The spacers should have a shoulder that goes into the shock hiem. If you welded them to the bracket, you could not get the shock on. Take a picture of the shock end and the spacers so I can see what you have to work with.

4 inches between the washer's

Holes are half inch apart, 2 inch spread between both sides.

I know obviously I need new spacers, but the shock is still a half inch bolt hole.

Do what Adam did. Drill the hole you need on the bracket out so the spacers go though them. Then weld them in.

That's what I was thinking, do you think I should do all 6 holes? Or just the top ones I plan on using?

I have been wanting to visit this off road shop 20 mins away, they should have the spacers.

Now that I look at it more, welding the spacers in wont let the shock go between them for install.

Who did you get the brackets from? Do they have them in 1/2" hole?

Or like Scott said. Plate the outside and re-drill them.

I got them from Ruff Stuff... They are a track bar mount.

The ball and the "housing" are both 5/8th's What if I drilled out the holes and welded the spacers in at 3/4 spacing? With the spacers on should the ball move to the maximum capability's or allow the spacer to act like a stop?

I made spacers for the bottoms :haha:

Found a drill bit that fit perfect in the shocks, then drilled the nuts out to the same size and drills my brackets with that drill bit.

I got some new spacers today, they don't have a beveled edge on them but they are the same bolt size and diameter to meet the shock.

I also got a freebie today, a intake manifold, injectors and the return less fuel rail I have been after. I'll probably get the injectors flow tested and cleaned, or keep them as spares. :thumb:

Expect a bit of a update tomorrow.

I put them away, I'll take pics tomorrow. :D

Also I forgot to add I got the oil cooler plate and lines.:woot:

On here. Any of these could be used to follow his build.

But who's counting?

I'm sure there's one on pirate.
