I would try to find that kit on a frame like yours first. The thing to remember is the clearance issues for the 3rd link. With the lower links mounting just below the frame and running to the bottom of the front axle, the vertical separation is difficult to get between the rear end of the upper and lower links. This can create drive ability issues.
Make sure you will have clearance with the pan and cross members at full stuff. If I were you, and I have done this, make the brackets out of plywood and the links out of correct size PVC. Bolt all of that together and set the truck at full stuff. Also building the panhard bar this way can save a lot of hassles down the road.
The panhard bar and steering can get really tight. You have been following Greg72's build, right? If not, take a week and read it.
I'm not saying it's not doable. Obviously it is. But there is a lot more to it than a leaf spring setup. If I were you, I would go that route. Oh crap. Too late.
That is close to what I had planned on doing, building the brackets and stuff out of wood first is a great idea.
I'm also concerned about the vertical seperation of the links, I wont know this until I get some measurements. This weekend hopefully I have the time to get the ones I need. I'm thinking a drop cross member to hold the links is in store. How far does yours hang down?

You honestly need to get some experience with a welder and a grinder, and make stuff yourself... You having to bring everything to some shop to have welded, is certainly not good imo.
This also. I've said it before.
The grinder isn't a problem it's the welding, it's not up to par.

Take truck to Shawn's Friday. It'd be done by early Saturday morning. Take it out wheeling. Roll it. Bring it to the mud Boggs. Fry the tranny. Fock smokin hot chick. Sunday morning put new tranny in and be on your way home.
that's how I see that going.
