Your links need to be WAY flatter than that, especially because you aren't lifting the truck a ton. You want the roll steer to be as minimal as possible, with understeer being better than oversteer as you always have to compromise a little. 10 degrees of roll oversteer drives terrible.

Anti-dive isn't as critical in the front as anti-squat in the rear, but worth mentioning, nothing wrong with what you have there.

If you haven't done it, things change a lot when you look at what you can actually fit rather than what is "right" on paper.

I'm sure I'll always be biased, but in my opinion, our link brackets individually are an absolute steal (and I think we should charge more for them). I did my rear 4 link by myself and, like you, spent countless hours researching everything etc., ended up with a good result but I had a ton of time in research/fabrication to build it, materials, etc.

By the time I linked my front end, I was working for ORD and they already had all of the brackets figured out. I took our production coilover brackets off of the shelf and literally had my truck linked in the front in a day. Just a thought, we can do the brackets individually.

Thank you very much for the reply Chris. I understand what you are saying thanks for putting it into simple terms. Those pictures were mainly just goofing around trying to get a feel for the calculator.I added what you said into my notes. :thumb:

Unfortunately my wallet doesn't allow for the ORD kit.

I think it would be worth the headache to just go ahead and put the ORD kit on a credit card if you're serious about doing a link suspension and getting this project done before the world runs out of oil to make gasoline and we're all flying around in hover cars like the Jetsons. By then it won't matter what the proper geometry for the links is. I mean ORD has done all the research already, so you don't have to. Or maybe you could just try to copy one of their setups, but again - how long will that take?

I'm just throwing out some thoughts here - not trying to be critical.

He will still have the link the rear on his own. May as well diy the whole truck.

You may be surprised that by the time you add up the cost of all the parts you will need to build your own setup, it may not be much more for the ORD kit. And your time that difference to build your own verses installing their. Weeks building your own and working out all the issues, one weekend theirs is install and done.

Just looked at their 4link page! I didn't realize they sold the components individually like that! And when you look at the pricing break down, it's a hell of a bargain!

No offense but.

If your wallet can not afford the ord kit, you probably shouldn't be linking your truck.

And if you do not own a welder, cutting torches or plasma cutter, your going to be really close to the ord kit in fabrication time.

Not trying to hate but leafs with good shocks work surprisingly well.

The kit as a hole is 3000.00 that's stiff on anyone's wallet. I will take a look at the price break down.

Have you priced out coil overs at all? Just wondering, it's been awhile but last year I did and you are looking atleast 1500 in just 2 shocks.

I kinda gathered that the project had a budget, we can do individual parts and that's what I was suggesting

could get the physical link stuff from them then watch classifieds on pbb for a good deal on some shocks and save some coin. Link tubing might be cheaper locally too and/or save some shipping $$.

Yes I have I will be going with ballistic fans 2.0 or cutting the middle man out and going ads coil overs.

seem to read alot of good about ADS from the racer crowd when it comes to support
